Last month, the Burnet Volunteer Fire Department conducted a prescribed burn. Prescribed burns are recommended if you have a lot of land, large brush piles and they are spread out over your property. The BVFD would rather you request us to come out and burn it for you, than you attempt to yourself during unsafe conditions and risk a runaway fire. With our department there, not only is it much safer, but you also get to meet members of your local community who staff the department.
